Electrical Project Engineer- Aberdeen 

To £70,000 DOE + Package 

We are assisting a leading engineering contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe in their search for an experienced Project Engineer for a Power and Renewables project. As Electrical Project Engineer you will oversee the design, installation, and execution of electrical systems installations up to 400kV. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, project management skills, and the ability to ensure that electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet project specifications. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• Develop designs, specifications, and drawings for all aspects of HV and LV system. 

• Coordinate with the project management team, design team, and contractors for seamless installations and commissioning activities. 

• Prepare and review technical drawings, electrical schematics, and design documentation. 

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.  

• Review and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and specifications providing technical guidance and support to project teams and contractors.  

• Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring timely & efficient progress monitoring project performance, identifying, and addressing any issues or delays.  

• Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during construction, testing, and commissioning activities.  

• Prepare accurate and updated project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project close-out documents.  

• Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations including obtaining necessary permits and certifications for installations.  

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 

• 2+ years' experience in Electrical Project Engineering role within industrial installation projects. 

• Strong understanding of HV & MV systems, power distribution, control systems, and renewable technologies in industrial settings. 

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant electrical design software. 

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. 

• Strong knowledge of QEHS best practices.
